Lowes TC Management and R&D Team

Lowes TC is run by an interdisciplinary team specializing in plant Tissue Culture. With decades of cumulative experience in the industry, our Management and R&D Teams integrate the fields of Horticulture and Plant Tissue Culture with experience in plant Molecular Genetics, Biotechnology and Microbiology.


Greg Lowe


Greg started Lowes TC in 1996 after working as a scientist and lab manager in a variety of Australian plant tissue culture facilities. Greg is the lead scientist and oversees all the Research, Development, and Innovation at Lowes TC, and is the mind behind the Lowes TC+ and AX technologies.

Natasha Marocik

General Manager

With over 25 years’ experience managing and researching in plant tissue culture facilities around Australia, Natasha has significant experience in all aspects of plant TC. She oversees production and research as well as imports and exports for both domestic and international services, all while maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of the lab.

Sarah Walsh

Plant Scientist
Research and Development

Graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Biotechnology, Sarah handles product development at Lowes TC. She is responsible for the growth optimisation of any new plant variety that comes through our door, always ensuring that our plants are performing to their best potential. Sarah directs a team of 20 highly trained micropropagation staff, and follows our plants from initiation to nursery, carefully monitoring the entire process.

Cooper Walters

Research and Development

Also having graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) majoring in Biology, and with a background in plant molecular genetics, Cooper is the resident microbiologist at Lowes TC. He oversees the protocol and systems design to continually improve the health and performance of our plants.

Jason Dexter

Plant Scientist
Research and Development

Jason has over 30 years of experience in the plant tissue culture industry, having worked in both domestic and international plant tissue culture laboratories. He helps to manage the internal lab operations, and handles the testing, integration, and optimisation of new technologies.

Teena Rani

Plant Scientist
Research and Development

Graduating with a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from India, Teena works on initiation and media optimisation for new and existing plant varieties. She is responsible for adapting plants from the outside world into the lab, and ensuring that they are free from any viral or microbial contaminants, leading to a happy and healthy transition into tissue culture.

Julie Weyling

Office Manager

Julie is our main administration contact, covering all general enquiries. She is involved in all things office, making sure that all imports and exports, accounting, ordering, certificates, payroll and shipping runs along smoothly.

Patricia Halls

Dispatch Manager

Patricia is our main dispatch, invoicing and orders contact for both Tissue Culture plants and plugs from the nursery. She oversees and organises all aspects of the nursery, including managing the nursery staff, assessing all stock for shipment and organising any necessary inspections.

Jake Cooke-Ringrose


With a Certificate III in Horticulture, Jake is involved in transitioning Tissue Culture plants from the Laboratory through to our protected fog house system and nursery. He maintains all of our plants along the way until they are ready for sale. He is also responsible for general nursery upkeep, including spray programs (Chemical certificate AQF-3).
